Poolbillard-Profi Maximilian Lechner hat mit seiner taiwanesischen Partnerin Shui Ching Chiang beim mit 100.000 US-Dollar dotierten Box Billiards Mixed Doubles Open in Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt, Vietnam, nach einer starken Performance den geteilten dritten Platz erreicht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zum Auftakt bezwang das Duo in der in der Disziplin 10-Ball ausgetragenen Konkurrenz die vietnamesische Kombination Dang Nguyen Van\/DinhThi Thanh Nga mit 2:1 und brachte sich mit einem weiteren 2:1-Erfolg gegen Aloysius Yapp\/Silvana Lu aus Singapur in eine gute Ausgangsposition f\u00fcr den Einzug in die K.-o.-Phase der besten acht Teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die erste Chance f\u00fcr den Viertelfinaleinzug endete jedoch gestern mit einer 1:2-Niederlage nach einer Spielzeit von \u00fcber drei Stunden gegen das taiwanesisch-chinesische Tandem Wu Kun Lin\/Han Yu. In der Qualifikationsrunde des Hoffnungsdurch\u00adgangs der Doppel-K.-o.-Vorrunde gelang Lechner\/Chiang dann aber gegen die Taiwan-Kombo Jui-An Hsu\/Chia Chia Chou mit einem 2:1-Sieg der Einzug in die Endrunde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heute folgte im Viertelfinale ein glatter 2:0-Erfolg gegen das russische Paar Fedor Gorst\/Kristina Tkach. Wir waren eigentlich bei den meisten Matches nicht Favoriten f\u00fcr den Sieg, aber wir haben gut performt, einander gut erg\u00e4nzt, und ich habe auch ganz gut gespielt und habe mich sehr wohlgef\u00fchlt. Das war ein guter Start der Vietnamreise, die vier Turniere umfasst\u201c, freute sich Lechner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>He\/Chen auf Platz 9, Ouschan-Geschwister ohne Satzerfolg<\/strong><br>Der Vorarlberger Mario He beendete den Wettkampf mit seiner taiwanesischen Partnerin Chia Hua Chen auf dem geteilten neunten Rang.
